Common questions

Do I need an account to play?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to. KokoronoKi works without an internet connection.

How is my progress saved?

On your iPhone, automatically, as you play. Your iPhone backup, to iCloud or a computer, includes it.

I got a new iPhone or deleted the app. Where did my progress go?

Progress lives only on the device. If you restored your new iPhone from a backup or used iPhone-to-iPhone transfer, your forest comes with it. If you deleted the app, its data went with it and a fresh install starts a fresh forest. We hold no copy, so we cannot restore it for you.

Does KokoronoKi have in-app purchases or ads?

No. There is nothing to buy with real money and no advertising. If that ever changes, the App Store page and this page will say so first.

The game crashed or froze. What should I do?

Swipe the app away from the app switcher and open it again. Check the App Store or TestFlight for a newer version, and make sure your iPhone has some free storage. If it keeps happening, tell us with the details above.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email us with the details listed under Get in touch, plus the steps to make it happen again if you know them. Every report gets read.

I am not sure what to merge next.

Merge two identical items to make the next one in their chain. The tasks in the book show what to make, and selecting an item on the board shows what it is.

What data do you collect?

None. No account, no analytics, no tracking, and the app sends nothing over the internet. The details are in our privacy policy.

I am testing through TestFlight. Where does feedback go?

Open the TestFlight app, choose KokoronoKi and tap Send Beta Feedback. Taking a screenshot inside the game also offers to share it as beta feedback. Email works just as well.
